Transient simulation of slag entrapment in a tundish

چکیده

Abstract A transient multiphase flow model is established by solving the heterogeneous dynamic equation to simulate process of slag entrapment in tundish, which can provide data for trial production reduce tundish residue on premise ensuring no entrapment. numerical simulation critical height 60 t under different steel throughputs analyzed, and following conclusions are obtained: when throughput 3.5 t/min, 4.5 5.5 6.4 time risk 1042 s, 691 561 476 s after casting end, respectively. The heights 186.9 mm, 202.9 220.5 222.5 without 202.4 214.6 236.1 238.0 mm with t/min.
